Brianna Aguilar
Maid of Honor

I met Maya through my friendship with her brother, Zyon, and even though we’re a few years apart, we instantly clicked—it’s always felt more like being sisters than friends. From sleepovers and Sunday Church, to family dinners and holidays, we’ve built a bond that’s lasted over 10 years (and counting!) I’m so excited to stand by her side as her Maid of Honor.
I am beyond proud of the woman, she is growing into, especially as she embraces the incredible roles of both motherhood and marriage. These have been my favorite moments, witnessing her being surrounded by such love and support has been truly inspiring. May this journey together, bring you both joy, strength, and a lifetime of love. Cheers to the new couple!

London Cunningham
Maid of Honor

Hello,
My name is London,
- I met Maya when we’re very young, our parents were friends before we were born so it was only meant to be for us to become friends as well. From what I can remember, I have memories of us being 5 yrs old just running around and playing. We grew up in church together, did dance together, and thankfully have stayed connected to each other from early childhood all the up to now.
One of my favorite stories that includes both Maya and Byron- The last night of spring break my senior year of high school (Junior year for Maya) we decided to meet up at Little Elm Lake with Byron and a few of his friends. This was my first time meeting Byron, I remember when he got out the car I whispered and asked Maya if she was sure he was in high school because he was so dang big!
For some crazy reason we decided to hop in our cars and start doing donuts in the parking lot until the police came and told that it was past curfew and that we needed to leave. So then we went back to Lake Dallas, got Whataburger and chilled at the Walmart parking lot.
Eventually, we went back to Maya’s house so she could introduce Byron and his friends to Ms.Gretta then we all chilled and watched TV with Ms.Gretta for a while.
From that day on we hung out every weekend until graduation whether it was going to the lake, the mall, movies or getting something to eat.
All three of us tend to still joke and reminisce on those day from time to time, laughing at our impulsiveness and at how fun and simple life was back then.

My name is Senaya, the older brother of Byron. We got some many fun memories all the way from 300 Dashing Creek till now. I have a lot of memories of Byron from holding his bottle for him, watching him play football, taking vacation to LA and Orlando, and now playing in the NFL. One of the funny memories I have is when we went to LA, I took them to this taco stand I had been to before. Byron wanted to go there everyday we was there, about 2-3 times a day. He gained about 10 pounds in 3 days lol.

Laine Yarrell
Junior Bridesmaid

I’m Mimi’s niece and proud to stand by her side as a junior bridesmaid. Mimi is the best — she always makes sure I’m having fun, spoils me, and makes every moment special. I get to celebrate her the way she’s always celebrated me. Love you, Mimi!

Zyon Hurd
Escort

My name is Zyon, and I have the absolute honor of being the youngest older brother of the bride. Even though we’re three years apart, we’ve had the privilege of growing up side by side—from pampers to this very moment.
I’ve been blessed to watch her grow into the amazing, God-fearing, and selfless woman she is today. Honestly, I can’t say I’m surprised. She’s had the best examples throughout her life—our Granny, our Mom, and so many incredible women who poured into her. She’s taken pieces of wisdom, strength, and grace from each of them and beautifully woven them into the woman she has become—uniquely herself.
What has always inspired me most is that—even as the youngest—she’s never been afraid to be herself and stand out. She may be my little sister, but she’s a big inspiration in my life, and I’m so proud of the woman she has become.
And Byron, my brother, I want to say how grateful I am that you asked for her hand in marriage—and for the brotherhood we now share. That meant more to me than I can put into words. It showed me the kind of man you are—respectful, honorable, and truly committed to my sister. For that, I thank you, and I’m proud to officially call you my brother.
To my sister, I want you to know how grateful I am for everything you’ve done and for all the love and support you continue to give. I will always cherish it—and I love you.
As you both step into this new chapter, my wish is that you continue to grow strong together as husband and wife, but also as individuals—always encouraging each other, always learning, and always choosing love.

Gretta Griffin-Hurd
Mother of the Bride

I have the incredible honor of being the mother of the bride. From the very beginning, Maya has been my miracle—someone I knew was truly special. She’s been by my side ever since, like my little shadow.
Even as a toddler, Maya’s heart for others was clear. She was praying for people at just 3 years old, serving others by the age of 5, and always radiating love and compassion wherever she went. Her spirit has always been so bright, so giving.
When I first met Byron, I noticed something special about him too. He carried himself with confidence, had great conversation, and a kind heart. He had a car—but his parents wouldn’t let him drive it all the way to our city, nearly an hour away. That didn’t stop him, though. Almost every weekend, he would Uber from DeSoto just to spend time with Maya. And when they were apart, they’d talk on the phone all night, sometimes until the sun came up.
Even after he went off to UT, his commitment never wavered. He made sure she could come to his games, and he always looked out for her. Maya has been a calming, grounding presence in his life. I remember Byron once said to me, “Maya gets me.” And he was right—she truly does.
I’m so excited for the beautiful journey ahead of them as they step into this new chapter together—as Mr. and Mrs. Murphy.

Seneca Murphy
Mother of the Groom

I am Seneca Murphy, a proud boy mom and eternal cheerleader for Byron. We share a life of treasured memories and unconditional love…forever his mom, forever my heart.
I knew Byron was going to be a big boy (hence the nickname “Fatmac”) when he grew up because as a baby he woke up anytime he smelled food. What 5 month old baby eats butter pecan ice cream and loses control over Fanta strawberry soda?

Byron Murphy Sr.
Father of the Groom

My name is Byron Sr., Byron’s dad. We share a bond and unconditional love that can never be broken. He is one of my greatest accomplishments and biggest blessings.
My favorite memory is when I gave you your first handoff as RB1 at age 3, your introduction to the sport we both love. You were always my first round pick.

Lenox & Lucas Yarrell
Ring Bearer

We’re proud to be "Mimi’s" nephews, her ring bearers, and her biggest fans. Mimi spoils us with candy, laughter, and the best adventures. On her special day, we get to spoil her back by carrying the rings and bringing the cuteness!
